Requested: My tattoos

I have 8 tattoos in total. Here's a little story about them. I apologize for the quality of the photos. Many people always say "my tattoo has to have a meaning". Well I don't in many a case. I love tattoos, I'm hooked on them and I plan to have many more. I go by feeling. I do have a few that have a very special meaning for me though.

My first one was an 'om'-symbol, I was really interested in buddhism at that point. I was 21 at the time. The tattoo has since been covered by this.

This is my left upper arm. The stars go up to my shoulder. I love stars, cliche of a subject, but I don't care! I want to continue this, to make it a bit softer by adding "stardust" or something. This tattoo is custom made.

I got the cover up 2 years ago. At the same time I also got a lyric from a song by a Swedish band Kent. It's one of my favourite bands and the lyric is dedicated for my husband, but also displays my love for the band. The lyrics basically say how I can't live without you. The google translation is pretty accurate, but it's so much prettier in Swedish ❤

Sappy, yes. Love it, yes.

The next one is on my right calf, it's a small one. It's supposed to be a some sort of sign for Capricorn. You can see it has horns, right? :D I'm thinking about getting it covered up or pimping it up. Dunno yet. Got it done in Wales, all of my other tattoos have been done by various tattoo artists in Finland.

Then there are these on my back. The sun was made in 2008. The Jamiroquai dude I got some 12 years ago. It's badly made and really faded. But it's on my back, so I hardly even remember its existence. I guess I should take a fresh photo of my back to see how things are over there ;)

This one I do remember :P This one I also got 2 years ago. It's a buddy tattoo :) My best friend has the exactly the same tattoo. It says bubbly (as in champagne) in Finnish. I (we) love bubbly :p~~~

The next ones have the biggest meaning to me:
This one is a line from a song called Cardiff Afterlife by the Manic Street Preachers. It marks my time over in the UK.

In the 'blog everyday for a month' -challenge I wrote about my late cat Oliver. Here's the tattoo I got custom made, by Leena Lumilampi of Bonafide tattoo, in honor of him. It hurt like hell to get it done. Much like the pain of losing him :'(

very much swollen in this photo.

Blog everyday for a month: First job

Day 8: First Job:
Tell us about your first job. Did you love it or was it horrendous?

My first job was as an extra at an arena. I worked mostly in the fast food -joints or the beer stands. Sometimes I checked peoples tickets and guarded the doors or the coat check. It was ok, the christmas parties were nice :D Unfortunately the job didn't have any such benefits like seeing a concert for free... I did see basketball-games and horse shows though :D And got entertained by drunken sports fanatics. The pay was all right for it being my first job and me living at home at the time. There were a load of people of different ages working there and the food was free :D I preferred working at the beer stand because I mostly worked them alone, some of them were so small.

N-n-n-n-n-nails!

It's that time again! I'm in love with Essie, I gotta say! Lovely pink ❤
Lovie Dovie!

Blog everyday for a month: Pets

Day 7: Pets
Tell us all about your pets, past and/or present.

I've mentioned that I have 3 cats and made a post about before. You can check it out here.

I had a cat when I was in elementary school too. Then I got a cat when I lived in the UK. Got him from the RSPCA. He was a beautiful big ginger tomcat named Oliver. He was such a mamas boy. The best. I brought him over to Finland with me. He was jealous at times. I remember when I started to date my ex, Oliver would sit on the table and stare at him disapprovingly. He didn't do that when I started dating my husband :') .
I didn't have long enough time with him. Only 5,5 years. He was older than the people at the RSPCA thought and so he had to be put to eternal sleep when his kidneys started to fail. He was such a brave little boy, always hiding the fact he was sick. He was my sweetheart and still dearly missed. No one can replace him ever. The cat tattoo that's visible on the banner of my blog is custom-made of this photo of Oliver. So he'll always be with me ❤.

Blog everyday for a month: Bank holiday fun

Day 6: Bank Holiday Fun:
It's a long weekend! What are your favourite ways to enjoy the extra long weekend off work?

The Asylum

Bank holiday aka public holiday. We're actually having one today. And of course I was at work. I always get pissed off when people are excited about a long weekend or well, weekend in general, because more often than not, I'm at work. Seems that society tends to forget that there are quite a few of us who work on pretty much any day of the year. So there's my bank holiday fun. Not fun at all.
