Blog everyday for a month: Spring is here!

Day 2: Spring is Here!:
What is your favourite thing about Spring?
What plans do you have to enjoy it?

My favourite thing about spring is that the world comes alive again! I come alive with it. I really despise winter, I could live without it for sure. I only feel truly alive during spring and summer. I love spring because of it's promise of summer. Soon everything is green and beautiful. I love the way the leaves soud in the wind.
The other definite favourite thing about spring is also the Eurovision Song contest! Less than two weeks to go now, yay!!! That's one way I enjoy the spring.

Blog everyday for a month: 5 lines

After searching for challenges all night last night, I decided to participate anonymously to a blog challenge that's going on for the month at Rosalilium.  The original idea is to blog everyday on the month of May. I'm just starting this a few day late hence the name: Blog everyday for a month ;)

Day 1: 5 Lines:
Introduce yourself or sum yourself up in just 5 lines.
Include a photograph that you are proud of.

I know I've been posting this photo a lot, but I'm just really happy about the way it looks! :)

*I'm a shopping addict to the point it resembles any other serious addiction.
*The best place in the world for me is home, I'm not much for clubbing or going to bars.
*I prefer my cats to most people, I'm amazed by peoples stupidity on a daily basis.
*I have an unhealthy fascination towards anything related to zombies :D
*I'm Finnish and live in Finland though I'd prefer living somewhere where the summers are longer + warmer and winters non-existing.

Eurovision Song Contest

I'm a huge fan of Eurovision Song Contest. I watch it every year with my best friend and sometimes with a selected group of others who are somewhat interested ;) Usually we have a party with plenty of drinks and snacks and it starts hours before the competition. This year is going to be a bit different though since the morning after the contest me and my friend are flying off to Greece \o/ So only a little bit of drinking is allowed ;)

Every year we listen to the songs from the get go. The Finnish and the Swedish national selections are followed intensively. With the Swedish Melodifestivalen being the more interesting and better show. Lists are made, points are given and the favorites are decided. The list does change from time to time, but the personal clear favorites stand out from the bunch. But the personal top has to be decided before the final. That's the rule. Even though it doesn't really matter. You want your number one to win. Last year, finally, our mutual favorite won! Yay for Sweden! This year is different.

The Danish song has been pretty much declared a winner in some medias. It's ok. I do like the song a lot, but what bothers me is the damn flute and the damn barefootedness. Gets minus-points from me ;) My favorite has been since the beginning, the Norwegian entry ❤ According to my calculations I like 15 songs which switch places daily on my Top 15 -list. But anyway, here's my top 10 as it currently stands. Enjoy!

1. Norway

2. Serbia

3. France

4. Romania

5. Denmark

6. Greece
7. Ireland
8. Sweden
9. Moldova
10. Azerbaijan

The Romanian entry is pretty out there, but it's so out there that one can't help but love it :D

Can you festival?

This summer I'm going to a rock-festival called Rock the Beach. It's been years since the last time I was at a festival! Awesome! The best thing is, it's in Helsinki city center, so I get to go to the comfort of my own bed to sleep! The performers include: Queens of the Stone Age, Rammstein and some other less significant (to me) bands and artist.

Then I read that umbrellas are not allowed at the festivalsite. And let's face it. It's Finland, the chances of rain are high judging by the last years. So I started to wonder where can I buy a raincoat from. I want it to be cool not some shitty old piece! On to google then! And boy what a find. A germantype officers raincoat! \o/ and a peaked cap to go with! So here's what I plan to wear at the festival, in case it rains:

Did me nails again...

I hate my nails.. They're short and stumpy and soft and they peel and split. Blah. Plus I can never take fake nails, because I wear contacts and I take them off "the wrong way" so nails would be a big nuisance... So I'm stuck with what I've got. Also, for some reason nail polish never stays impeccable longer than a day. So yesterday I already had chipped nail polish and let's face it, that's not pretty. So off with the China glaze colors... Since I felt like wearing nail polish, I applied a different color.

While I like the China Glaze, my nails have always preferred O.P.I. it's usually been more durable. So we'll see if I can make it 2 days with this ;)

The shade is 'Hands off my kielbasa' it's kind of rosy color. The light was quite crappy when I took the photos... oh well!

So I guess the photo on the right paints the most accurate picture.
