1. Personal
So, I'm a 30+ woman living in the metropolitan area of Helsinki, Finland. Curious how I'll be 30 again next year. Forever 30 ;) . I live with my husband, we've been together for almost 12 years and married for most of those years. We have three cats: Castro, Leopold and Titos Momus (aka Tito). Castro and Tito are just regular housecats (no breed), Leopold is a Scottish Straight. I'm childfree by choice, I prefer the fur babies over human children. That doesn't mean I hate all the kids, but mostly I'm totally ambivalent towards them. For me, my closest friends are basically my family, maybe more than my "real" family. Friends create a family you choose to be a part of. I love spending time with my favourite people, whether they're related to me or not.

2. Career
I work as a psychiatric nurse. It's not a calling nor do I have a Florence Nightingale- syndrome. How I ended up as a nurse is a sum of many occurrences. I'm good at what I do, but regardless I want to switch career. That's why I am studying arts and culture in the University of Helsinki. Smart choice, I know!!! Thankfully I like my workmates and they make it easy to make it through a rough day and they're a good laugh! I hope I get to stay for as I long as I need to!

3. Passions
As I mentioned in my first post, I love the Eurovision Song Contest! I watch some of the national selection and the whole beginning of the year is spent in a lovely Eurovision-haze. Tonight the French choose their entry, but next week the best national selection program, Melodifestivalen, begins as Sweden begins its journey to find the representative fot this years Eurovision. Finland should take a few notes from Sweden...
I also love books, I need a library room. I haven't read in ages though, this is something I need to remedy this year. Seems like "Fire and Fury" could make an interesting start ;D. I also love designer handbags, although I buy the "cheaper" ones, no way could my budget handle Louis Vuitton or Gucci! My favourite designers are Coach, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors. My most expensive bag is by Frye. A few of their other bags are on my eternal wishlist. A huge passion of mine is makeup and brushes. I try to invest in quality cosmetics and prefer quality brands over market stuff pretty much 100% of them time. Nail polish I'm not so fussy with, since my nails are pretty much non-existent.

4. My isms.
As I mentioned in my first post, my isms are feminism and atheism. Google them, look them up in an Oxford dictionary, just get your facts straight, ok! :)

5. Hopes and dreams
Lottery win would be nice! (#classic)
I'd also like to write a book. I've dreamt of writing a book since I was a child. I'd also love to travel more and see the world (at least most of it). I want to live happily ever after. I want to retire to the Mediterranean and spend my days sipping wine while providing a home for homeless animals! <3 br="">

Kuka minä olen?

    

1. Henkilökohtaista
Olen siis reilu kolmekymppinen nainen pääkaupunkiseudulta. Kummallista, että ensi vuonna täytän jälleen kolmekymmentä. Ikuinen kolmekymppinen siis ;) .Asustan kotiani yhdessä mieheni kanssa. Olemme olleet yhdessä pian 12 vuotta, joista naimisissa suurimman osan. Meillä on myös kolme kissaa: Castro, Leopold ja Titos Momus. Castro ja Titos Momus (eli Tito) ovat maatiaiskissoja; Leopold on scottish straight. Olen vapaaehtoisesti lapseton, pidän paljon enemmän karvalapsista kuin ihmislapsista. Tämä ei tarkoita että vihaan kaikkia lapsia, mutta suurimmaksi osaksi lapset eivät kiinnosta minua lainkaan. Lähimmät ystäväni ovat minulle oikeastaan melkein enemmän perhettä kuin "oikea perheeni". Ystävät ovat perhe, jonka valitset. Vietän mielelläni vapaa-aikani lempi-ihmisteni kanssa, olivat he sitten sukua tai ei.

2. Ura
Työskentelen sairaanhoitajana  psykiatrian puolella. Kyseessä ei ole mikään kutsumusammatti tai hoivavietti. Sattumien kautta olen alalle päätynyt. Vaikka olen työssäni hyvä, haluan vaihtaa uraa, joten opiskelen taidetta ja kulttuuria Helsingin yliopistossa. Järki vaihtoehto, I know!!! Onneksi nykyisessä työssäni on kivat työkaverit, jotka auttavat jaksamaan ja viihtymään työpaikalla. Toivon mukaan saan siellä vielä olla niin kauan kuin tarvetta on!

3. Intohimot
Kuten ensimmäisessä postauksessa kirjoitin, rakastan euroviisuja! Seuraan eri maiden karsintoja ja koko alkuvuosi kuluu ihanassa euroviisuhuumassa! Tänään olisi sopivasti Ranskan karsinta, mutta ensi viikolla päästään jo tositoimiin ja fiilistelemään Melodifestivalenia, eli Ruotsin karsintoja. Suomen sietäisi ottaa mallia!
Rakastan kirjoja ja tarvitsisin lähestulkoon oman huoneen kirjoilleni. Nyt on mennyt liian kauan, etten ole oikein lukenut, mutta sillä saralla yritän parantaa tapani tänä vuonna. Myös "kalliit" laukut ovat intohimoni. Kalliit heittomerkeissä, koska esim. Vuittonin hinnat ovat itselle aivan liian korkeita. Luottomerkkejäni ovat Coach, Marc Jacobs ja Michael Kors. Kallein omistamani laukku on Fryelta, Muutama heidän laukkunsa on ikuisella toivelistallani. Intohimojani ovat myös meikit ja sudit. Yritän panostaa laadukkaaseen kosmetiikkaan ja luotan merkkituotteisiin lähes 100% ajasta. Kynsilakkojen kanssa en ole niin tarkka, koska kynteni ovat aina niin heikossa hapessa.

4. Ismini
Näistä mainitsin jo ensimmäisessä postauksessani, joten ismini ovat siis feminismi ja ateismi. Katsokaa Googlesta ;D .

5. Haaveita ja unelmointia
Lottovoitto olisi kiva! (#klassikko)
Sen lisäksi haaveilen kirjan kirjoittamisesta. Tämä on ehkä pitkäikäisin haaveni, joka minulla on ollut jo lapsesta asti. Haluaisin myös matkustaa lisää ja enemmän, nähdä koko maailman (ainakin melkein). Haluan elää onnellisena elämäni loppuun asti. Eläkepäiviä viettäisin mielelläni viiniä lipittäen ja kodittomille eläimille kodin tarjoten jossain Välimerellä! <3 br="">

Kuka minä olen, mitä minä olen?

20 asiaa minusta:

1. Olen 30+ nainen, mutta toki pidän itseäni 25-vuotiaana. Olen naimisissa, minulla on 3 kissaa ja olen vapaaehtoisesti lapseton. 
2. Olen sekä yliopisto-opiskelija (alanvaihto käynnissä) että psykiatrinen sairaanhoitaja. 
3. Rakastan meikkejä, ja hamstraan niitä (miehen mielestä) hiukan liikaa. 
4. Rakastan laukkuja ja hamstraan niitä (miehen mielestä) ihan liikaa. 
5. Olen ateisti ja monen mielestä kuulun ”miltanttiin tai uuden ateismin” edustajiin. Koska ilmeisesti se, että kyseenalaistaa uskonnot ja sanoo se ääneen, on militanttia.
6. Poliittisesti minua pidetään toisenmielisten ihmisten katsantokannalta suvakkina ja elän punavihreässä kuplassa. 
7. Rakastan euroviisuja ❤️.
8. Ainoa urheilu mikä kiinnostaa ja mitä seuraan on EM- ja MM-jalkapallo.
9. Olen pluskokoinen ja ärsyttää suunnattomasti etten löydä normikaupoista halpaa ja kivaa päälle pantavaa.
10. Olen asunut ulkomailla muutamaan otteeseen ja tunnen ikuisesti kaipuuta muuttaa uudestaan ja uudestaan muualle.
11. Vihaan talvea. Minua ei haittaa vaikka vettä sataa, on pimeää ja ankeaa. Plussakelit ja vesisateet voittavat pakkasen ja lumen aina. Paitsi jouluna. Ja Lapissa. 
12. Olen feministi ja kannan nimitystä ylpeydellä. Ei, se ei tarkoita että vihaan miehiä ja haluan että naisilla olisivat paremmin kuin heillä. Kannatan tasa-arvoa ja tasavertaisia mahdollisuuksia kaikille sukupuolille.
13. Olen somen massakuluttaja ja lähes naimisissa puhelimeni kanssa. 
14. Olen himoshoppaaja, se on ongelma. Ihan oikeasti. Se on ongelma. 
15. Olen krooninen uniongelmainen. Kärsin ikuisesta univelasta. Joskus oireilen niin voimakkaasti, että se häiritsee arkielämää. 
16. Rakastan kirjoja. Lukeminen kannattaa aina. 
17. Vihaan yhdyssanavirheitä. Ei sillä, etten itse niihin ja muihin virheisiin sortuisi, mutta silti ne saavat minut raivon valtaan. Kuten myös pisteen puuttuminen päivämäärän perästä.
18. Fiksoidun usein johonkin tiettyyn asiaan, tällä hetkellä se asia on BuJo.
19. Jos minulta kysyttäisiin pelastaisinko kissani vai naapurin lapsen tulipalosta, pelastaisin kissani. Vaihtoehtoisesti kuolisin heidän kanssaan. #sorrynotsorry
20. Olen Apple-ihminen, iMac puuttuu, se on toivelistalla tälle vuodelle.

1. I’m a 30+ woman, but I’m sticking with 25. I’m married, I have 3 cats and I’m childfree by choice. 
2. I’m a university student (switching careers) and work as a psychiatric nurse. 
3. I love make up and buy products a little too much (at least in husbands opinion).
4. I love handbags! And buy them WAAAYYY too much (at least in husbands opinion).
5. I’m an atheist and according to many militant or new atheist at that. Because apparently saying you’re an atheist and question religion and the existence of deities out loud, makes you militant. 
6. Politically I’m a leftie and live in a green socialist bubble. “The others” call me ‘suvakki’ because I don’t hate immigrants. Or the lgbtq-community.
7. I love the Eurovision Song Contest
8. The only sports I follow and am interested in is the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship. 
9. I’m plus-sized and it annoys me that the physical stores don’t offer anything nice and reasonably priced to wear. 
10. I’ve lived abroad a few times and I will always feel wanderlust. I want to live somewhere else at some point in time again. 
11. I hate the winter. I don’t mind the rain, the dark, the gloom. Temperatures above 0 Celsius and rain beat freezing temperatures and snow, always. Except at Christmas. And in Lapland. 
12. I’m a feminist and will proudly say so. No, it doesn’t mean I hate men or that I want women to be the überlords of the universe. I’m for equality and equal opportunities for all. 
13. I’m a mass consumer of social media and practically married to my phone.
14. I’m a shopaholic, it’s a problem. For real. It’s a major problem. 
15. I’m a chronic insomniac. I’m forever sleep deprived. Sometimes I can’t function at all because of it. 
16. I love books! READ! It’s good for you! 
17. I’m a grammar nazi. Let’s just leave it that. 
18. I often get fixated on a certain thing. At the moment it’s bullet journaling. 
19. If I was asked whether I’d save my cats or the neighbors kid from a fire, I’d save my cats. Or I’d die with them. #sorrynotsorry
20. I’m an Apple-person, iMac is on my wishlist for this year.

I made an early New Years resolution for myself and this blog follows it, 
I'm trying to make a project out of it. I want to do it sort of facelessly and anonymously, so I've 
switched to wordpress. Anyone is welcome to follow me there though. My mission is to post daily, but you

know, the road the hell is paved with good intentions :D

While the blog is mainly dedicated to my "project" (I've no idea how I'll pan it out), I will not be forgetting

clothing & make up stuff either. They're a big part of me. And the biggest thing about this project 2017 is to 

figure out who I am and what I want out of life. So it might be pretty deep and stuff, but one thing I know

is that at this moment, in my life, I need to be deep, true and honest to myself. So again, if you want to follow

me on this journey I'm about to embark upon, you're more than welcome. I will be writing the blog in English.

I might translate some things in Finnish.
